Dj Sisco

Every partygoer that has ever graced the floor of a club has, at one point, looked up at the DJ booth and dreamt about what it must be like to be the focal point of everyone’s night.  A few of those party goers have turned their dreams into reality and mastered the skills necessary to control the dance floor and actually be the focal point.  DJ Sisco is one of those people.  There’s no straight forward path to becoming a success in the world of dance music, and DJ Sisco took the scenic route.  Getting his start with hip hop, he held his first residency at the age of 15 at a club called Charlie’s in Muncie, Indiana.  His turntable tricks and energy behind the decks quickly caught the attention of surrounding clubs and radio stations, and within a few years he was a regional favorite with steady bookings.

After making the rounds in the Midwest, DJ Sisco was ready for a change and moved to Florida in 2006.  It was here that he started to expand his musical horizons and fell in love with the jazzy feel of house music.  He didn’t forget his hip hop roots, however, and now incorporates beat juggling, scratching and a cappella overlays into his house sets while still keeping the mixes seamless, on key and in correct time.  2010 was the busiest year for DJ Sisco yet.  He became the official arena DJ for the Lingerie Football League teams the Tampa Bay Breeze and the Orlando Fantasy, performing in stadiums that seat 20,000 people.  He was featured at the Ibiza Beach party that was sponsored by Es Paradis at Winter Music Conference in Miami and also performed at a sold out VIP event for the Vinyl Music Festival in Sarasota.  In addition, he performed at the Earthdance Festival in Sarasota and the Fish Head Ball and pre-party in St. Petersburg for the Tampa Bay Times.

20 Cities across the U.S. in a three month span is the way 2011 began.  Playing from Tampa, Chicago, Indiana, Las Vegas, Miami and Orlando, DJ Sisco hit a giant challenge.  “Not going to lie, walking into the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas was pretty nerve racking” says Sisco.

With a bigger picture and a new outlook on the way music was heading, 2012 through 2013 was a new adventure.  From remixes, collaboration’s and original music, Sisco has become one of the most sought after music producers in the house music scene.  Run The Drop will be DJ Sisco’s 3rd E.P. Release on Crescent Records and there is still one more to come.

2014 quickly became another record breaking year for DJ Sisco. With five original track tracks already released on beatport, he has already accomplished goals that he never dreamed of. Songs such as “Hey” and “Emotions” have remained in Toolroom Records all time demo top 50 chart for months. “Just Kiss” peaked at number 7 on Roja Record best selling list. DJ Sisco’s remix of Gareth Emery’s “Eye of the Storm” placed in the top ten on the Beatport’s Competition and that is just the production side. March 8th was a show for the books as he was one of the few House Music DJ’s performing at Wild 94.1 Sold Out show called “Wild Splash” in Tampa Florida. July was an amazing time as he got the chance to see his name in the charts a long with Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix and many more with his guest radio show mix on Cresent Radio charting #3 in Big Room House, #42 in Electro House and 60th in Progressive House. We are coming to the closing months of the year and he isn’t even close to being finished. “I have been in the studio a lot. Just trying to finish up a couple more original tracks, a remix for legend Brad Smith and another contest with a remix of Hardwell’s “Arcadia” says Sisco. Be on the lookout for more Radio Shows, Production and show announcement from Florida’s own DJ Sisco for the remaining months of 2014.
