JAMIE LIN
Jamie Lin is a fireball you’ll have to keep your eyes and ears out for, in more ways than one! Her signature style makes the house heads groove with the ultra-funky, chunky and sometimes deep house music she drops. As a native to the San Francisco Bay Area, her musical influences derive from San Francisco and Chicago house. Jamie’s passion for spreading the love of great music, drives her to make San Jose’s nightlife more open to non-mainstream ear candy. Check out her dj residencies over at Mixture in Santana Row’s Blowfish Sushi to Die For, as well as Love Our House at the Buddha Lounge in Mountain View. Tune into Jamie’s weekly radio show “Love Our House” on Karma Radio (KarmaSJ.com) every Monday.
Since 2003, Miss Jamie Lin has already graced the sound systems of the World-Class clubs in San Francisco such as Ruby Skye and The Endup, as well as djing at the SF LoveFest Parade (aka The Love Parade). Her natural talent in theater set design and 3d art allowed her to collaborate, developed plans and built a parade float with her fellow house lovers called “The House that Jack Built”.
Jamie Lin has been a featured guest on a variety of radio shows around the world including Henri Kohn’s Clubstar Session in Germany, Shejay Sessions on SS Radio UK, Dance Latino America in Buenos Aires, Acid Sounds on Super949fm.com of Ecuador, The Bounce FM on KCRH 89.89, Chicago’s WCRX 88.1FM, FriskyRadio.com, and EOM Sessions. DJ Liquid released 2 tracks featuring Jamie Lin’s vocals on his Hyperfocus album in 2006. As diverse as she can be, besides being a vocalist, she is a classically trained violinist, rocked out to punk, ska and metal with her guitar in her high school years, and acquired a bunch of other random instruments from all over the world like the mud-baked flute from Taiwan.
Besides being a dj, she is an ex-video game 3d Artist and Animator… this is practically every boy’s (or adult male’s) dream job! Her other projects include freelance photography, design for Remix Clothing, and marketing / design for Billboard Dance charting producer - Jason Randolph’s “Mood Magic Recordings”. Out of the musical realm, Jamie realizes that in order for one to attain happiness and reach one’s dreams, the mind, body and soul must be in perfect harmony. The fascination of this lead her to discover and attain the Master Level of a holistic healing therapy called Reiki. She wanted to contribute more to the world than just making video games to keep kids at home, so this outlet creates a way for her to help others improve their lives.
